HONG KONG - Chinese footwear and leather goods manufacturer Aokang has appointed Leo Burnett as its creative partner in the domestic market, marking the first time the company has worked alongside an international agency.
It is understood that the Publicis Groupe agency will be responsible for strengthening Aokang's brand positioning and creating a stronger emotional connection between its products and consumers in China.
Aokang Group's chairman and president Weng Zhentao noted the need for strong brand equity to facilitate the 'rapid expansion' the company is aiming for in the market.
Aokang operates over 30 provincial companies within China.
